Meet Shannon
“ The quality of our life ultimately depends on the quality of your relationships.”
— Esther Perel
In the past, I trapped myself in a cycle of “what could be,” constantly fixating on the future or past instead of living in the present.
I believed that the life I wanted would fall into place if external circumstances changed. Feeling mentally drained, negative, and unable to show up authentically for my loved ones, I knew something needed to change. Through yoga, therapy, and mindset work, I learned to be in the moment, move energy through my body, redirect my negative thought patterns, reconnect to my feelings, and plan a life I was proud to call my reality.
This practice led to a profound shift. I became an observer of my life, understanding the connection between body and mind. I dove into books on rewiring the brain, challenging limiting beliefs, and understanding attachment styles, boundaries, and communication. I transformed my life by letting go of people and situations that no longer served me and taking responsibility for my time and energy.
Over time, I became an expert in using movement and breathwork to release stress and connect with the self. I earned a degree as a Marriage and Family Therapist to assist clients in understanding how culture, family, society, mental illness, and relationships shape us and that the mind is a battlefield that needs our attention. With a direct, collaborative approach, I help clients rewire their negative thinking, uncover the patterns from childhood or survival mode that no longer serve them, and heal from past trauma.
My core values—authenticity, self-awareness, kindness, loyalty, and play—guide everything I do. I encourage honest conversations to strengthen relationships with clients, always bringing my true self to sessions. I prioritize kindness and self-awareness, enabling clients to look for and embrace moments of play. I take a holistic approach to wellness, tackling mind and body and helping individuals and couples transform their relationships with themselves and others.
If you need a therapist to help you explore your past, internal processes, or relationships, I’m here for you. If you need a coach to rediscover yourself, stay accountable to your goals, and manage life’s stress, I’ve got you covered, too.
