Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Inward Focus Coaching guarantees that if you follow our plan, set small attainable goals and action steps, open yourself fully to our program and dedicate enough time and effort, you will get great results from our coaching.

  • Therapy is a past-focused discipline, in which the therapist identifies the reasons for the person’s feelings and behaviours and offers ways to handle a particular issue. Unfortunately, this often gives the client a label, e.g. “I’m depressed”, which they use to justify their actions and thereby limit their ability to change.

In coaching, while we understand the “why,” behind behavior and thought patterns, we do not dwell on the reasons. We focus on taking that information to make a unique plan to enjoy the present and plan future goals to get you where you want to be in life.

  • At Inward Focus, we look at the whole person: mind and body. Our thoughts influence our body's responses, and those responses, in turn, affect our thoughts; deny the connection is to deny parts of the person. We help redesign how your body is processing stress and how your mind is fueling negative thought patterns and manifesting in unhelpful behaviors and sickness in the body.

  • I hold a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University, where I trained to work with couples, family systems, and individuals. I recognize that our lives are shaped by culture, society, relationships, life experiences, and family history. I'm also working towards certification as a Sex Therapist to better support couples in my practice. In addition to my therapy work, I am a certified yoga instructor with over 10 years of experience. I’ve helped many women and couples master their nervous systems and manage stress through education on body awareness, movement, meditation, and energy work. I understand how negative thought patterns can impact the body, leading to unhelpful behaviors and struggles in relationships. As a trauma-informed yoga therapist I have experience guiding clients through difficult conversations, overcoming mental and emotional barriers, and enhancing overall well-being by releasing energy in the body and alleviate physical, mental, and emotional distress.

  • Yes, changing your life requires intention, effort, and discipline—it doesn’t happen overnight. You can’t change what you don’t understand or are unaware of. It takes time to fully understand your story, how relationships impact your life, and how stress and trauma affect your body. The number of sessions needed will depend on your goals and the results you’re aiming for. While your commitment is key to your success, we are confident that our program will provide you with tremendous value.

  • Our therapy and coaching sessions are a combination of 90 minute sessions and 50 minutes sessions depending on your chosen program.

  • Payment is expected per session. We also have packages where you receive a discount for paying up front in full. We accept Venmo and Paypal. We also understand that the economy sucks right now so we have payment options as well.

 Understanding the “why”

At Inward Focus, we offer a blend of therapy and coaching. Our therapeutic services are designed for those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, helping uncover the "why" behind behaviors and thought patterns while offering insights into the various factors that shape your life. Our coaching services focus on creating meaningful change, using somatic practices to connect with the body, setting attainable goals with accountability, and equipping you with tools to establish boundaries and communicate your needs, wants, and desires effectively. Both services provide clarity, insights, and practical tools to help you create the life you envision.

Relationship Therapist

I help couples navigate relationship issues by uncovering limiting beliefs, break the cycle of conflict, fostering open communication, and tools to repair conflict and skills to enhance emotional connection and well-being.

Yoga + Somatic Exercises

Yoga connects the mind and body by stimulating the vagus nerve, the information highway connecting your mind and body. All of my programs incorporate mind and body connection practices to teach you how to balance your energy centers through proper alignment and movement.

1-on-1 Coaching

My three-month coaching program blends personalized body and mind work to help you regulate your nervous system, identify negative thought and behavioral patterns, understand your traumas and attachment wounds, and set realistic goals for the life you want to build.
